Proper Practice of Christian Freedoms, Part 1

As we continue our study in 1 Corinthians, I’m amazed at the timeliness of the passage we’re in. In fact, our current situation has given me a greater understanding of and connection to this passage and what Paul is calling the church in Corinth to believe and to do.

And as a spoiler alert, Paul is not commanding the Corinthians to give up a their Christian freedom. Instead, he is teaching them that they can decide to temporarily give up a Christian freedom when it removes obstacles for others, and they can rejoice in the opportunity to do so.

Next week, we’ll take a break from 1 Corinthians and turn our hearts toward Resurrection Sunday.

I anxiously await the day that we can once again gather together.
